Who Are We?
Below are posted several documents in text and PDF formats that will provide a quick sketch of who we are, as well as some of our present concerns. These documents will be updated occasionally, and you can download the PDF documents, which is handy for passing along to friends or family by email.

The issues we face today are not merely about which groups of people get what entitlements, but about the tyrannical control over every aspect of your lives.
Southern Colorado Patriots Club Press Release
The Southern Colorado Patriots Club (SCPC) is now open for general membership with headquarters located in Westcliffe, CO. The club is necessary since there is an all out assault on our liberties and freedoms. This same assault is directed at the Constitution of the United States by many in our state and federal governments. The club’s purpose is to promote the ideas and provisions in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution with particular emphasis on the 1st, 2nd, 9th, 10th, and 17th Amendments. Americans’ rights to free speech, assembly and individual gun ownership are being undermined daily.
The SCPC will promote and support those organizations, politicians, and candidates that have similar genuine concerns. If interested please make your name and contact info available to info@scpatriotsclub.com or visit the Contact page at www.scpatriotsclub.com. It is important to note that this organization is committed to lawful, non-violent political action. Members will participate in civic events and other forums to firmly express our dissatisfaction regarding over taxation, excessive government spending and government interference in citizens’ private lives, liberties and pursuits of happiness. These inalienable rights were to be protected by the government handed to all Americans by the Founders. We have numerous concerns about our country’s current state of affairs and direction that it is moving towards a complete “Nanny State”. This violates both the word and the spirit of the United States Constitution. The SCPC has established the following goals:
• Fewer Federal and State Taxes/Fees
• Less Federal and State Spending
• Smaller, less intrusive Federal and State Governments
• Fewer Federal and State Regulations and Restrictions
• Fewer Federal and State Programs
• Elimination of Wealth Redistribution
• More Freedom and Liberties
• More Respect for the Constitution
• A Commitment to the Security of US Borders
• Opportunities to Succeed or Fail, Free of Government Interference
• Opportunities for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
• A Respect for Personal Property and the Individual Right to Bear Arms
• Fewer Arrogant, Powerful, Wealthy, and Tenured Representation in Congress
The club will tirelessly pursue these goals, among many others, by speaking with a strong and united voice. The irrational efforts by the current administration and Congress to establish a “Nanny State” must be curtailed. The Socialization and Bankrupting of our country is the goal of many currently in power. Through the efforts of the SCPC all citizens will have the opportunity to learn about the US Constitution and identify and elect representatives who understand and will respect America’s founding principles. Help us restore the concept of We The People!!
We the People Must:
• Unite
• Become Active
• Keep the Patriotic Spirit Alive
• Demand our Liberties, Freedoms & Wealth be Restored
• Take Personal Responsibility
• Elect the Candidates who Represent Us
• Seek God's Favor on this Country
We are looking for like-minded Americans. Join us; encourage your family and friends to do likewise. This is an urgent call for all Citizen-Patriots 17 years and older to help protect their country and restore its greatness. We all must make some time to fight for our Rights and Representation.

READ!
Get a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Please read them again and again. Free copies provided at our meetings.
TAKE THE PLEDGE!
Keep the Constitution close, talk to others about it and get them to read it. Sign the pledge on the back to maintain & promote its standards of liberty & freedom.
ATTEND MEETINGS!
Mark your calendar and plan to join us on Veterans Day, November 11, 2009 and on other occasions as announced. Check the website for future meeting dates.
RECRUIT!
Start building your network of like-minded Patriots…encourage everyone 17 years or older in your family, in your circle of friends and among your acquaintances to join us. Help keep the Patriotic Spirit alive. Bring at least two new Patriots to each meeting.
SPEAK OUT!
Contact our Representatives. If your elected representatives haven’t heard from you this month; write, email and/or phone them… you have two US Senators and one member of the US House of Representatives. Don’t forget the Governor and State Representatives.
DONATE!
If you can spare it, leave a donation in one of our “Change You Can Really Count On” cans.
Please keep attending what we believe will be a series of club meetings, educational seminars, and spirit rallies. Your active participation will be needed for “We the People” to successfully influence our elected officials in shaping America’s future in a way that would make the Founders proud and stop this excessive Government growth, control & spending.
Note: At the next meeting an open microphone will be featured. Every attendee will have 30 seconds to address the group. Plan what you would like to say.

Big Brother & Control
• It’s not about health care reform, stimulating the economy or protecting the environment.
• It’s about the ultimate & total control of the citizens (life & death).
• When the government controls the banks & money; the redistribution of wealth; the housing; the manufacturing of goods & services; the kind of car one can drive (small death traps); the temperature in one’s home; the kind of light bulbs we can use; one’s retirement; one’s ability to earn (pay caps); the food one eats; fights the photo id provisions to ensure only actual citizens vote; values the lives of animals, plants and terrorists over American citizens; declares the air (CO2) we exhale & plants inhale as a toxic gas so it can be regulated; tries to eliminate our guns and ammunition; and finally & ultimately decides who gets what health care and when (i.e. who lives or dies) we are in serious trouble. It means we are already living under tyranny. This must stop!
• Fellow citizen—patriots, it is time to act! We must demand our liberties and our freedoms!
