We’ve got a wonderful new tool to help in determining where you really stand with taxes (in many of their various forms)—the Tax Approval Quotient form (PDF format). Designed to illicit your true, objective opinions on taxes, this form cites specific examples of taxes, and asks you to rate the degree to which you agree or disagree with a statement on each example.
But this form also has another purpose. We’re encouraging all members to download, print, and fill out this form to determine their quotient of tax approval. In our meeting coming up on September 17 to celebrate Constitution Day, we’ll collect these quotients and provide the composite score to membership at our October meeting. We believe the results will be quite telling of where our members stand on such issues.
Why is this so important? A number of new issues will be presented to voters in November in the form of propositions and amendments. The Tax Approval Quotient should help us in making objective decisions about these things for a sound vote in this coming election.
Thanks to Joe Cascarelli for putting together this excellent document.
